Before scheduling, one must know how much photos cost, so with that said I always let my clients know where their money is going when it comes to scheduling a session. 

          Depending on what type of session you are in need of, each one is budgeted out by my time spent on site of the session, the amount of locations, outfit changes, the size of your party, and of course editing time.
